Horse extensions from The Horse Extensions Factory are now officially available!
Our horse extensions are not applied with wax, glue, elastic, thread or braids, but with an animal-friendly and hair-friendly technique. This keeps your horse's natural tail undamaged, while you still get to enjoy a full, long and natural-looking tail.
Why choose horse extensions?
Especially in the period when competitions are held or your horse has to go to inspection, the tail may look less beautiful. Maybe your horse has been rubbing, a foal has been chewing on the tail, or a little accident has happened. In summer this is extra annoying, because your horse is then less able to shoo away flies. With our extensions for horses you can easily solve this yourself. A thin, short or frayed tail becomes full, long and complete again.
Fitting your horse extensions yourself
Our THEF Extensions are designed so that you can attach them yourself. They are placed in the hair using a small, animal-friendly method. The strand is no bigger or thicker than a strand of your own horse's hair, so the result looks natural. You don't have to worry: the horse hair can simply keep growing undamaged.
How does fitting work?
Fitting the extensions takes on average between one and a half and three hours, depending on how many you want to fit. Before you start, brush the tail out well. Using our clear instructions you can get started step by step. You decide how full and how long your horse's tail will be.
Natural result
The extensions are made from real horse hair and therefore look very natural. Choosing the right colour should not be a problem. If you're not sure, send us a photo of your horse's tail. We'll help you personally find the perfect match. Because the attachment is subtle, the extensions are not visible and your horse feels comfortable.
Durable in use
Our horse extensions stay in place for an average of three to six months. After that you can easily remove them and fit them again. This makes them not only practical but also economical: you don't have to buy a new set every time. Want more volume? You can always add extra strands.
Which horse extensions suit my horse?
The Horse Extensions Factory offers different types of extensions, depending on your wishes and your horse's situation. Frequently asked questions about horse extensions
Are horse extensions visible? No — the attachment via microrings is subtle and not visible when the extensions are fitted properly. You can even leave them in for an inspection.
Can my horse move normally with extensions? Yes. The extensions move with the tail and are no obstruction to the horse. They sit securely but gently, without pressure on the skin.
How many extensions do I need? For tail thickening we recommend 25 to 50 extensions. For tail lengthening 50 to 100. Not sure? Contact us for personal advice.
