Maantop Clip-in of mane hair
You can use a Maantop made of real mane hair if your horse does not naturally have a nice, full forelock.
The clip-in Maantoupet is ideal for extending and/or creating a forelock.
You can also use the forelock if your horse has no hair or very little hair.
The Maantops are made by hand and with love for you and your horse.
This way you can give your horse a nice, full and long forelock without much effort.
If needed, you can cut the Maantoupet to the desired length.
You can easily take the Maantoupet in and out yourself, no glue or wax involved!
You can also simply braid the forelock as you are used to.
It is an animal-friendly product: the Maantop is attached without glue or wax.
You can use the Maantops whenever you like, for example, they are very handy for competitions and/or inspections.
Application: divide the hair into two equal parts.
At the back there is a small clip for extra hold.
Open the clip and fasten it in your horse’s own hair.
Then cover the toupet with the top tuft of hair, if present.
Your horse’s forelock now has a natural, full look.

When do you use a Maantop clip-in?
The Maantop clip-in is suitable for many different situations. Many riders use the Maantoupet for horses that naturally have little or no forelock, or for horses whose forelock has become thinner due to wear, damage or illness. The Maantop is also a handy solution for horses that regularly take part in competitions or inspections, where a well-groomed and full forelock is important for the presentation.
Because the clip-in Maantop is attached without glue or wax, the product is animal-friendly and gentle on your horse’s hair. You can use the Maantoupet every day or only for special occasions — it stays in place in a few seconds and comes off just as quickly.
Caring for your Maantop clip-in
The Maantop clip-in is made of 100% real mane hair and can be cared for in the same way as your horse’s own hair. Gently comb out the forelock with a wide comb or brush, always from bottom to top. Do not spray detangler directly on the clip to prevent it from coming loose. Wash the Maantoupet if needed with a mild shampoo and let it air dry. With the right care, the Maantop clip-in lasts for years.

The Maantop clip-in is available in 8 colours, from black to cream blonde. Not sure about the right colour? Send us a photo of your horse’s forelock or mane via our contact page and we will help you find the best match.
