The mane extensions are about 35 centimetres long and come as standard in 7 colours. Would you like a different colour or length? Just contact us.

The number of horse extensions depends on your wishes. If you want to thicken the tail we recommend 25 to 50 horse extensions,
if you want to extend the tail we recommend 50 to 100 extensions.

What you need:

• Microring horse extensions are attached with a microring. We prefer microrings with a silicone inner layer to prevent them from slipping.
• You also need microring pliers to apply the extensions. The same pliers make it very easy to remove the horse extensions again.
• A microring loop needle to pull the desired tuft of hair through the ring.
• And of course you need the horse extensions themselves.

When do you choose DIY mane extensions?

Mane extensions are ideal if your horse naturally has thin or short manes, or if the manes have become thinner because of eczema, rubbing or care. With our DIY horse mane extensions you give your horse full, natural manes in a single session of one and a half to two hours that stay in place for 4 to 6 months.

Because the extensions are attached with microrings — without glue, wax or heat — they are completely safe for your horse's own hair. The hair can keep growing undisturbed. After the lifespan of the extensions you simply remove them yourself and can reapply them straight away.
